Re: The THREAD: Of Really Bad Ideas...
My story summarized:
1. Raised Mormon.
2. Went a bit punk as a teenager.
3. Went on a Mormon mission to Tahiti. Tahiti converted me. Ceased being Mormon.
4. Went back to Tahiti, worked at a hotel there.
5. Quit the hotel job, became something of a vagrant in Tahiti, like a benefit thief not on benefit sort of thing.
6. Married a Tahitian woman thinking it would help my case for citizenship. It did not. Bluddy French deported me anyway.
7. Landed in Hawaii, unable to find work there. Joined the Air Force primarily to be able to shower at night.
8. Much world-wide travel in the U.S. Air Force. Included a 2 year stint in Special Operations. Finished up with computer training. It was during this time that my earlier hobby of reading up on "esoteric mysteries" shifted more into political conspiracy theory. That all started when I saw a black helicopter fly back to base all shot up--fired upon by fellow Americans (which sparked my curiosity for obvious reasons!) Was a Bill Cooper fan in those days.
9. Became a civilian, career in database administration, mostly consulting assignments. Happened onto Mulletard Icke when reading up on possible conspiracies surrounding the JonBenet Ramsey case.
10. Most recent phase shift of life: post-conspiracy, post-new-age, post-lunacy, broke on through to the other side, as sung in that lyric by The Doors.

Me And Mr Rubin Were Chatting About This Earlier......
For The Same Reason I Would Not Be Very Good In A SHTF Situation...

The closest I got to incarceration was when police broke up a gang fight I was involved in, in Salt Lake City, and people had been identifying me as having supplied weapons, which I did, but was beside the point, with the right to keep and bear arms and all, ought to apply to people with spikey hair as well as regular citizens right? My sidewalk argumentation with the men in blue kept me out of handcuffs but I lost possession of an impressive arsenal of handguns and swords for which I was not compensated--arseholes probably pawned them.

You and Sod are by far the coolest most fascinating guys I've met on line...No one would've thought you have seen the real deal, but I always suspected something attracted you to conspiracies...and it'd take a little proof, than looking through the bottom of a bottle of fanciful suggestions....thankyou very much for revealing this, very brave indeed...

American black ops. Military. Officially they go on a lot of training flights, although a bit of domestic surveillance and/or mind-fuckery operations inna out of the question.
A black helicopter:
A "man in black":
These things fill up conspiracy lore as if they're from out of this world, but they're really a lot closer to home.
The black is obviously because they fly and operate mostly at night.
