And Labor still thinks Rudd is the bigger scandal - Page 4 021393-bolt
Are the Prime Minister and senior ministers
liars when they trash their former leader,

asks Andrew Bolt.
Herald Sun

LABOR MPs meeting in Canberra this morning face a critical question
about Julia Gillard and Kevin Rudd.

No, it's not just the one that's tearing them apart - whether to pick as prime minister
the woman who can't win or the man who can't lead.

There is a question far more important.

It's this:
are the Prime Minister and senior ministers liars when they trash their former leader?

Are they liars when they savage Rudd as an incompetent, selfish, arrogant,
flighty, brittle, remote and disloyal control freak who cut dead anyone
who dared to contradict him, and led a chaotic and paralysed government?

Or, if Rudd is indeed a lunatic,
how did they dare let a lunatic
become our prime minister?

Here's how Rudd is now described by people who used his popularity
to get them into office in 2007, before axing him for Gillard in 2010.

Opinion: Andrew Bolt's blog

Wayne Swan, who served as Rudd's Treasurer for three years, now accuses him of "dysfunctional decision making".

"There is too much at stake in our economy and in the political debate for
the interests of the labour movement and working people to be damaged by
somebody who does not hold any Labor values."

Rudd is too dangerous to run the economy?

Then why did Swan help put him in charge of the economy in 2007?

Or take Communications Minister Steve Conroy:
"(Rudd) had contempt for the Cabinet, contempt for the Cabinet members,
contempt for the Parliament.

"Ultimately what brought him down a year or two ago was
the Australian public worked out that he had contempt for them as well."

So Conroy was happy to leave Rudd in power with all that dangerous contempt only
to the point that the public saw through it?

Then there's Environment Minister Tony Burke:
"It became chaotic, the chaos, the undermining, the temperament that started to develop,
the micro-management ... Kevin as leader became someone who through his complex
became increasingly impossible to work with."

And, of course, we have Gillard herself, Rudd's "loyal deputy" for 3 1/2 years,
telling us now he had "very difficult and very chaotic work patterns"
that bogged his Government in "months of paralysis and chaos".

None of this is what these characters once told us.

Even after helping to knife Rudd, Swan praised his former leader as
a man with "great commitment to the country and fantastic work ethic".

Likewise, Gillard in 2009 cooed that Rudd as prime minister was "doing a fantastic job".

Of course, I'm prepared to believe Gillard, Swan and the rest
were actually lying about Rudd from the start.

After all, he was already so unliked by his colleagues that they tried almost
every other contender from Labor's Right as leader - Kim Beazley (twice),
Simon Crean and even Mark Latham - before turning to Rudd in desperation.

We also now have what could be the professional opinion of Prof John Mendoza,
Rudd's former mental health adviser
, who says
the former PM is not "fit for office" and "was removed for his own wellbeing".

Moreover, it was clear to me even before Rudd became prime minister that
he was a troubled, fragile and easily distracted man.

For instance, in April 2007, I wrote:
"He has now little time to remake himself before the public starts to ... wonder if
this highly intelligent, ferociously hard-working man does have the glass jaw that
will make him unpredictable in high office."

In November 2007, I wrote:
"Rudd as prime minister will be a control freak ... The story of the Rudd government is
likely to be of a jittery Labor leader with more formal power than any before him, trying
to control people with a clearer sense of direction than he has himself."

In June 2008:
"Being so manic, and so unsure of himself, he's of course also famously impatient and
short-tempered."

I quote myself not to toot my trumpet - well, a bit - but to prove that
Rudd's character was always obvious, even if most Canberra journalists
closed their eyes to it for years. (Protecting Labor?)

Labor bosses must have seen all this, too, yet made Rudd their leader to exploit
his popularity for their power.

So, another question.
These people who once told us Rudd was a great prime minister
now tell us Gillard is even better.

They've lied before. Are they lying again?

We’ve already noted that Nicola Roxon,

seems to be
rewriting history to attack him

Well,
My little genie love was'nt on shift,I left it too late, she clocked off 8pm,leaving the blonde femme fatale, whom I finally scared off, giving her a copy of The Velvet Underground,Riot Grrrl chick punk and hand written links to Freedom From The Reptiles and Taree Police Their Fun And Games at Webanarchy, not the shit fight version at Sodlike Productions, which succeeded in the primary outcome,of scaring her off,for she was unworthy,a girl, and a footballer fucker,so,I usually snub air-heads like that and that's what I needed to sort out. Those two threads also contain my follicular fascination for brunettes, blondes are third, behind mousey brown, redheads, tailing at the very bottom of the list, especially fat and freckley, like the bitch at the cigarette counter, who talks shit about me and the other girls, cause I would'nt give her the time of day.
Hate rumour mongers. She's on at least three dating websites,a complete moron, with bleach white skin, that turns red, after a night on the booze.Make me puke.

So blonde femme fatale, sees me,nonchalent, calls the other girls to the self serve and she mans the cigarette counter and I just ignore the lot of them, muttering, wherre's my dark genie gone. It's a stupid game we play, who can get my attention, where I'd just rather talk or fuck, depending on their moods for the day.But little genie, she's inquisitive, not ashamed,a little hesitant about acceptance and has no idea, she really roicks my world.I like her, sort of girl, you get a job to take her out,in the car,get a bit of restaurant food, get stoned and see where it goes from there.

I know she likes older guys too and say her first experieneces were just that, cause the local hood boys, just want blow jobs, then blow you off, calling you a whore, while they circle jerk with their mates, what a low Ho she was.Fuckers, they deserve the war front, scum,I'll take care of the ladies back at home,I'm over the age of conscription now.

Back on Gillard’s to-do list

Right, now back to work.

- stopping the boats, with 740 people arriving in one week.

- salvaging the Queensland election, heading for a Labor disaster.

- dealing with the Craig Thompson scandal, with police raids last week.

- dealing with the looming carbon tax disaster, with the tax to be implemented by July 1.

- honoring the promise to return the Budget to surplus by next financial year.

- answering the questions about who actually whipped up
the Australia Day race riot
.

At least one journalist I know may have to
explain some texts he received from Gillard’s office,

- dealing with business demands for workplace reform, especially as the economy tightens.

- dealing with Rudd’s implied admission, and Resources Minister Martin Ferguson’s hint,
that the carbon tax of $23 a tonne is way too high and
the price must be slashed quickly before more jobs are lost.

UPDATE

As I typed that I heard yet another reporter and yet another Labor MP say
the government now had to sell the carbon tax better.

Why this enduring fantasy that the problem is solved merely by a better sales job?

No, what’s needed is not better spin but better policy.

Typically what most well intensioned Australians do not understand
when they vote green is that they are not voting for the environment
but a global scientific oppressive dictatorship.

Our sovereignty as a nation
will no longer exist
and our right to vote for leaders
will no longer exist.

If you listen to what British politicians are saying about the United Europe
is that they have a European President that is not democratically elected
and that is a small feature of a united world, except they often quote that
communist China should be the model on which this New World Order be
built. I don't know about you but I'm not prepared to give up our
constitution for one like China's.Think about it!!! This video
originally uploaded by youtube user wakeup2thelies I thank him for
bringing this to my attention,he has about 8000+ views but I feel many
more Aussies need to see and know what is being planned by these so
called greens.
Our government is not listening to us, just the beginning
of the nightmare that could unfold.

(Note: the poster of this video seems to only have a 'worldly' 'understanding' of
The Really Big Picture, going by their lack of understanding of 'Who' 'China' ARE.)

Mind you, I don't give a hoot about politics,
beyond watching it for the signs God told us to watch for,
and warning folk about those warning signs.

And that 'they' of The Global CONspiracy Industry
of The Global Mass Anti-social Twittering NETwork,
keep insisting folk ignore The Globally Important News
about and coming out of The Continent Sized Sign, Australia,
tells thinking people that they do so at the peril of their
Eternal Lives.

BTW, I'm not a fan of 'democracy', beyond it also being
one of the Key Signs God told us to watch for.

The Sign of The Global Majority casing after Bloody 'profits',
and False 'prophets' who Preach Worship of The Beast...
while God sifts and sorts, and Raises, His Kings and Princes.

Audit questions prostitutes cash

JULIA Gillard faces fresh turmoil just two days after seeing off a
leadership challenge, with new revelations over the use of Labor MP
Craig Thomson's credit card to pay for prostitutes.

A 120-page audit found Mr Thomson failed to question why $5000 was
spent on prostitutes -- even though he was supposed to be the card's
sole user.

The report also found the NSW MP gained a "personal benefit" from
his Health Services Union credit card.

The investigation, by Slater & Gordon and BDO Kendall, heavily
criticised the former HSU boss over inappropriate spending and found he
was likely to have breached industrial laws by taking his then wife on
19 flights.

The report has been forwarded to Victoria Police and Fair Work Australia, which are conducting investigations into the Labor MP.

If
convicted and sentenced to 12 months' jail, Mr Thomson would have to
leave Parliament, loosening the Gillard Government's hold on power.

Mr Thomson withdrew cash advances of $100,000
in his five years as HSU national secretary, the audit shows.

The 2009 audit reveals Mr Thomson failed to question seven credit card transactions
for adult services totalling $5000.

He denies paying for the prostitutes but the audit team questions how he could have
allowed seven transactions involving adult services to slip through.

"We remain unable to reconcile these denials with Thomson's apparent failure
to draw attention to these transactions before this investigation despite the accounting procedure . . . requiring the presentation of supporting documents for each transaction
occurred," the audit said.

It found some cash advances were not "appropriate expenditures".

Last night, Mr Thomson said: "I deny any wrongdoing. I have fully co-operated
with police and Fair Work Australia."

The latest revelations come amid new evidence the industrial watchdog has
been dragging the chain during its three-year investigation of Mr Thomson.

It has spent $912,000 in legal fees on the HSU inquiry, but just $250,000 of this
was spent from April 2009-July 2011.

Yesterday, Treasurer Wayne Swan said the Government was focusing on the economy.
"The thing (Labor) is proudest of, is that today there are more Australians employed than
at any other time in our history," he said.

Faceless men show Gillard who’s boss
129 Comments

Oaktoad (Reply) Wed 29 Feb 12 (07:09am)
More wonderful news Piers. Gillard has absolutely no judgement at all
which is why the faceless men have to step in to control any major
decisions - at all times.

Little Bobby walks up to his dad and asks, “What is Politics?”

Dad says, “Well son, let me try to explain it this way: I am the head of
the family, so call me The Prime Minister. Your mother is the
administrator of the money, so we call her the Government. We are here
to take care of your needs, so we will call you the People. The nanny,
we will consider her the Working Class. Your baby brother, we will call
him the Future. Now think about that and see if it makes sense.”

So little Bobby goes off to bed thinking about what his Dad has just explained to him.

Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to
check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his nappy. So
little Bobby goes to his parent’s room and finds his mother asleep.

Not wanting to wake her, he then goes to the nanny’s room. Finding the
door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the
nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed.

The next morning, little Bobby says to his father, “Dad, I think I understand
the concept of politics now.”

The father says, “Good, son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about.”

Little Bobby replies, “The Prime Minister is screwing the Working Class
while the Government is sound asleep. The People are being ignored and
the Future is in deep shit.”

The faceless men, the ALP’s faction leaders have given Julia Gillard a
tap-dancing lesson and shown her really runs the government.

Yesterday the vetoed her decision to replace Senator Mark Arbib as a NSW
Senator with Bob Carr, the former long-serving NSW Premier.

According to Labor insiders, Carr, who does not drive, was booked to fly
from Sydney to Canberra to accept the nomination and was actually in a
car en route to the airport when word came that the faceless men had
given his appointment by Gillard the thumbs down.

NSW Labor Party secretary Sam Dastyari later admitted he had a discussion with Carr on Monday night about the Senate vacancy.

Carr was just collateral damage in Gillard’s struggle for authority.

The real prize was the position of Foreign Minister left vacant by failed prime ministerial pretender Kevin Rudd after his exit to the backbench.

It is understood that the factional bosses were furious when they learnt that Gillard
had offered Carr the post if he took the vacant Senate seat.

That was too much for a number of senior Labor figures, who demanded
that Gillard fill the vacancy with one of those who had supported her in
the bloody leadership battle, Defence Minister Stephen Smith or
Regional Minister Simon Crean.

Gillard, who had insisted on nominating members of her Cabinet following
the precedent set by Rudd when he became prime minister in 2007, was
told to call Carr and tell him that the job she had discussed with him a
week earlier was no longer available.

It was not hers to give, she was told by the factional bosses. She had
been rolled, a day after her victory over Rudd which supposedly ended
the bloodletting and restored her authority.

The faceless factional bosses have revealed that Gillard is just as
hollow now as she was when she took the prime ministership with the help
of the turncoat Independents and the slimy Greens.

Its tough for Carr, an expert on US history, and a deep thinker who has
long harboured an ambition to round out his public service with a stint
as foreign minister.

But his experience should be a warning to those silly Australians
who still think that Gillard can deliver - anything.

What Gillard says cannot be trusted.

Her word is worthless, she can’t deliver what she promises.

As Bob Carr has now found out to his humiliation.

And Labor still thinks Rudd is the bigger scandal - Page 4 Empty Tough laws to weed out sex fiends

Post  true lilly Wed Feb 29, 2012 8:54 am

THE Baillieu Government will tighten laws
that have allowed convicted sex offenders
and other criminals to
get working-with-children permits.

New laws will be designed to tip the balance
back in favour of children and families

at the expense of those seeking the permits.

It follows a string of decisions by
the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal
to overturn permit refusals.

Attorney-General Robert Clark said the permit system
should look after the interests of children and their families.

"The tests that apply under the current law
are too focused on the interests of
the individuals who apply for checks,"

Mr Clark said.

"(We have) become increasingly concerned
about
the tests for Working With Children checks
that we inherited from
the previous Labor government."

Initial decisions made by the Department of Justice,
and any appeals taken to VCAT, will have to pass a "reasonable person" test.

From Hansard: It’s all about trust
23 comments

The Hansard has this very good speech.

<blockquote>Mr ABBOTT (Warringah—Leader of the Opposition) (14:46): I move:

That so much of the standing and sessional orders be suspended as
would prevent the Leader of the Opposition from moving immediately:
That this House call on the Prime Minister to explain the circumstances
surrounding the offer of the foreign ministership to Bob Carr and its
subsequent withdrawal at the insistence of the faceless men; Further, to
explain all the issues of loss of trust now besetting her government.
In trying and failing to have Bob Carr made the next foreign minister of
Australia, the Prime Minister has been bullied, beaten and leaked
against by the faceless men who are running the Labor Party and
controlling this government. Nothing has changed. That is why standing
orders must be suspended. In dealing with this issue in the parliament
today, the Prime Minister looked like a lawyer with a bad brief: shifty,
evasive and dishonest. That is why standing orders must be suspended:
so that she can come into this House and, just for once, be straight
with this parliament and the people of Australia.

It is very clear what happened. On Monday afternoon, the General
Secretary of the New South Wales Labor Party, Sam Dastyari, put it to
the Prime Minister that Bob Carr should be the next Labor senator from
New South Wales. On Monday evening, the Prime Minister called Bob Carr
several times to offer him the foreign ministership of Australia. If
this is not right, let the Prime Minister come in and explain it. That
is why standing orders must be suspended. The former Premier accepted
and he booked his flight to Canberra. If nothing had happened, why would
the former Premier of New South Wales book his flight to Canberra? On
Tuesday morning, senior cabinet ministers told the Prime Minister that
this just wasn’t on. But they did not just tell the Prime Minister, they
leaked to the Sydney Morning Herald. Then, having bullied and leaked,
they successfully intimidated the Prime Minister into withdrawing the
offer. The final act in this sorry story: Sam Dastyari called Bob Carr
to say that the Senate spot would go to someone else after all.

The SPEAKER: The Leader of the Opposition will return to the substance of the motion.

Mr ABBOTT: This is why standing orders must be
suspended—so that if there is a different story it can be put to the
House. What we had at the end was a distinguished former Premier of New
South Wales left humiliated and desolate. Yet again, the Sussex Street
death squads were dealing with a distinguished member of the Labor
Party. That is why standing orders must be suspended.

Yesterday—so much has happened in just 24 hours—the minister for
regional services, an auditioner for the Prime Minister’s job, said
this:

The Prime Minister is showing a new assertiveness.
Get that, Mr Speaker!

That will be demonstrated in the way in which she constructs the cabinet. The healing process has begun.
That is why standing orders must be suspended.

So much for assertiveness. The Prime Minister was rolled by the
defence minister. It is like being beaten up by Clark Kent! She was
rolled by the would-be foreign minister, currently the defence minister.
As for constructing the cabinet, yet again she is being dictated to by
the faceless men. And as for healing, she was being leaked against
within 24 hours of winning a caucus vote. If what I am saying is not
right she should come in and correct the record. That is why standing
orders should be suspended.

What does all this say about the government? We know that only
two-thirds of the caucus have confidence in the Prime Minister. What we
now know is that the Prime Minister preferred an outsider to anyone else
in her caucus to be the foreign minister. We know—and this is why
standing orders must be suspended—that the former foreign minister said
that the Prime Minister was responsible for a stuff-up a fortnight. I
have news for you, Mr Speaker: she has lifted her productivity. Not 24
hours went by without another stuff-up—the offer of the foreign
ministership of Australia to someone who was not even in the caucus.

We know that the faceless men are well and truly in charge. Now we
have confirmation that they are more in charge than ever. Not only the
faceless men, but in Sam Dastyari we have also got the faceless boy, Mr
Speaker. Faceless men and faceless boys are running the government and
that is why standing orders must be suspended. At the heart of all of
this is the simple fact, revealed by the former Minister for Foreign
Affairs again and again last week, that you just cannot trust this Prime
Minister. The Australian people have completely lost trust in this
Prime Minister. This is why standing orders must be suspended—so that
she can come into this chamber, explain exactly what happened and
finally tell the truth.

This week the Prime Minister came into the public arena and said she
was impatient. She was busting—she was so impatient to take charge, but
within 24 hours the faceless men were rampant, running her government to
the extent that she could not even choose her own foreign minister.
This week she came into the public arena and said, ‘Oh, the member for
Griffith is such an honoured member of my Labor Party; he was such a
great Prime Minister,’ when last week she had said he was a prima donna
who had paralysed his own government and sabotaged hers. What does this
Prime Minister think of us? Does she think we have the memories of
goldfish?
She should come into this House and explain herself. That is
why standing orders must be suspended.

So often has this Prime Minister totally failed the test of trust:
the member for Griffith could not trust her over the prime ministership,
the Australian people could not trust her over the carbon tax, the
member for Denison could not trust her over poker machine reform, and the Australian Federal Police could not trust her or her staff not to
provoke a riot on Australia Day. The members of the Health Services
Union cannot trust this government to ensure there is a decent
investigation into the member for Dobell.
This is a Prime Minister who
time and time again has betrayed the trust of the Australian people.

That is why standing orders must be suspended.

Members opposite must be tiring of the fact that this Prime Minister
will not even face the parliament. She scurries out of the chamber. She
seeks refuge in the whip’s office, rather than sit in this chamber and
honestly face up to the questions about her integrity.
What does it say
about the modern Labor Party, what does it say about this Prime
Minister, that one-third of the caucus preferred a psychopath, as he was
described, to her? What does it say about the Australian Labor Party
that its leadership choice this week was between a prima donna and a
backstabber? That is why standing orders must be suspended.

The tragedy for the Labor Party is that the party of Curtin and
Chifley has degenerated to the point where it is now the party of Rudd
and Gillard. Is it any wonder that Labor voters are deserting it for the
Greens? The sad truth about the Labor Party is that the only god they
know is power.
The faceless men giveth and the faceless men taketh
away
—blessed be the faceless men. That is the tragic truth about the
modern Labor Party. That is why standing orders should be suspended.
That is why this Prime Minister should finally come into this parliament
and explain herself, rather than taking the coward’s course and leaving
it to the Leader of the House. Shame on you, Prime Minister! (Time
expired)

Caz replied to Rick
Thu 01 Mar 12 (10:03am)

I can answer that for you Rick.
It’s because of
militant feminists and because of Emily’s List and the power base they’ve established in the Labor Party.

This is what they say on their website:

We believe women must have control over their own bodies and choices
in their lives. Reproductive Freedom empowers women and men to choose
if, when and how to begin the important journey into parenthood, without
fear of discrimination, coercion or violence.

This is from a quick google - Life Network Australia - Wednesday, August 17, 2011

Emily’s List holds up abortion as a trophy of women’s reproductive
rights, espouses the rhetoric of “choice” and poses as an organisation
fighting for equality of women. At first glance, why wouldn’t any
company jump at the opportunity to sponsor them?

If, however, you look a little more closely, you may just see something more sinister.

It was Emily List’s, Candy Broad, that initially tabled an abortion
Bill that would legalise abortion up until birth - but it was put aside
until after a federal election.

Emily List’s Maxine Morand then retabled it. It was her Emily’s List
colleagues,
Joan Kirner, Jacinta Allan (Bendigo East) and others that
argued passionately in support of the Bill.

When challenged on her support of the legislation, during the last
Victorian election, Ms Allan refused to comment. Her constituents flatly
refused to believe that she would have supported abortion up until
birth. With the protection of her local Bendigo newspaper, she remains
unaccountable.

During the abortion debate in Parliament, images of aborted babies were
viewed. Abortion survivor, Gianna Jessen, gave her amazing story of
surviving an abortion and asked “Where were my rights as a female?”

But Emily’s List MPs remained determined.

Peter Kavanagh, former Member of the Democratic Labour Party, described
how he was told by some ALP MPs that although they did not want to
support the Bill, they were told (by the ALP) that they would not be
endorsed for reselection if they did not
- so much for a conscience vote!

Former ALP Member for Bendigo West, Bob Cameron, voted against the Bill.
He has since been replaced by Emily List’s Maree Edwards.

The legislation was passed and numerous amendments were put forward -
some 60, in fact. It was the rejection of these amendments that gives us
a look into what Emily’s List really stands for.

Given they had succeeded in legalising abortion in Victoria, one would
think that a political organisation that champions the rights of women
would have supported the following amendments: Parental consent for
girls under 18 years (parental consent is required for piercings);
mandatory reporting of suspected sexual abuse; support/counselling for
women considering abortion; a “cooling off period” for women considering
late term abortion. But no - each Emily’s List Member of Parliament
voted each of these amendments down.

Emily Listers also opposed: The banning of partial birth abortions
(banned in the U.S); provision of medical care for aborted babies born
alive; anaesthetic for babies aborted late term; and limitting abortion
availability to 20 or 24 weeks (babies can survive outside the womb at
this stage).

In espousing to be “pro choice”, there is no evidence of Emily’s List
having any interest in any “choice” other than abortion. Where do they
show such determination and passion for adoption? Are they fighting to
have red tape surrounding adoption cut?

Where are they lobbying for pregnancy support centres? Parenting classes?

It is blaringly obvious that Emily’s List is “pro choice” alright...as long as that “choice” is abortion!

The champagne flowed for those Emily Listers who had secured their
ultimate “trophy”, but for the women, families and babies of Victoria
and Australia, it was a very sad day. Legal protection for the unborn
and also for women had been stripped.

THIS
is where the Chinese whispers of hate against Tony Abbott come from.
THIS is why he is described as DANGEROUS.

They condemn anyone who has the unmitigated gall to think that abortion
is not a badge of honour to be worn lightly and without consequence or
who thinks that women are now being railroaded into abortions without
being shown that there are alternatives
IF they wish to choose them.

Emily’s List are emblematic of
the mentality and moral idiocy of the Left.

Either agree with us or we’ll crucify you.

Hence, Rick, that report will never see the light of day.

Jim replied to Rick

Dark Secrets ?.

Well, they're not really secret, being written on a public forum, even if the name is challenging to some search engines.
What's this Tintin,Ciggy and Billy.Three different characters, with three differing reasons and/or agendas for being here, one, who is not a member, that being Tintin. And no,there is no super stealth sleeper agent sock-puppet of Tintins here, but I'm sure you'll entertain yourself with that possibility.

Who's attacking you except for the odd reminder here or there of a rather disturbed upbringing. Why make a stupid remark then ignore and do seven pages of spam, guess what...I don't care.Do proceed.

Play your silly little game.

From Hansard: It’s all about trust II
23 comments

The Hansard contains this excellent speech.

<blockquote>Ms JULIE BISHOP: Standing orders must be
suspended, and this motion must take precedence, because overnight more
revelations have emerged that contradict the Prime Minister’s version
of events over the Bob Carr fiasco. The pattern of behaviour that is
emerging borders on the pathological. The Prime Minister has turned
denying the undeniable into an art form. The Prime Minister, when
confronted with indisputable facts, manufactures a version of events
that invariably turns out to be the opposite of what is true. She is a
fabricator. That is why standing orders must be suspended—so that the
Prime Minister can explain to this House and to the Australian people
why she said that an article in the Australian was completely untrue,
when the salient facts in the story have been confirmed by none other
than Bob Carr himself. The Prime Minister did not claim that parts of it
were untrue or that there was an incorrect nuance; she said it was
completely untrue.

But we now know that Bob Carr was offered the foreign minister’s
spot. She said that was completely untrue. We know Bob Carr was
contacted by the Prime Minister. She said that was completely—

The SPEAKER: The Deputy Leader will return to the motion she has moved.

Ms JULIE BISHOP: That is why standing orders must be
suspended—so that the Prime Minister can explain how it is that she
claims that the offer being withdrawn after the intervention of the
factions was completely untrue. These matters require the Prime
Minister’s explanation. Legitimate questions are arising about the Prime
Minister’s respect for the truth. Even those who are desperate to give
the Prime Minister the benefit of the doubt admit that she has a passing
acquaintance with the truth. I would say that the Prime Minister and
the truth are total strangers. That fact is—

The SPEAKER: Order! The Deputy Leader will withdraw
that. I point out that this is not a motion of censure. The Deputy
Leader must focus on the substance of the motion, and the sorts of
things that she could talk about in a substantive motion cannot be
talked about in a motion to suspend standing and sessional orders.

Ms JULIE BISHOP: I withdraw. Standing orders must be
suspended so that the Prime Minister can explain her behaviour. I have
spoken about the pattern of behaviour which is part of the motion, and
that is why standing orders must be suspended. For example, the member
for Griffith learned, to his great personal cost, that the Prime
Minister’s word cannot be relied upon—that her word is worthless. For
months leading up to 23 June 2010 she declared loyally that she would
not challenge the Prime Minister. Even on the night she betrayed him she
promised she would give him more time, only to go back on her word
moments later. That is why standing and sessional orders must be
suspended.

The member for Denison learned to his great cost that the Prime
Minister’s written word cannot be relied upon, and she must explain
this. The member for Denison was strung along for months, seduced into
believing that her written word was worth something—but then he was
betrayed. There is a pattern of behaviour here. The Australian people
learned this when she made her promise that there would be no need for
concern over the erosion of the private health insurance rebate. Now
this Prime Minister is eroding that very same rebate. The Prime Minister
also told the Australian people that, if they voted for her, there
would be no carbon tax under the government she led. This is part of the
pattern of behaviour that she must explain. The Prime Minister betrayed
their trust and standing orders must be suspended so she can explain
why she makes these statements that are then shown to be false.

We will recall that before the last election the Prime Minister
announced the East Timor processing centre. She said she had spoken to
the East Timorese President. She was subsequently ridiculed for poor
judgment, for her diplomatic failing, and then she denied that she had
nominated East Timor for the processing centre. In fact, she said:

I’m not going to leave undisturbed the impression that I made an announcement about a specific location.
So are we led to believe that she was speaking to President Ramos Horta
about a processing centre in Antarctica? No wonder Laurie Oakes said of
the Prime Minister—

The SPEAKER: The deputy leader will return to the substance of her motion.

Ms JULIE BISHOP: I am speaking about the pattern of behaviour, Mr Speaker, which is why the suspension motion should be carried.

The SPEAKER: The deputy leader must focus on why standing and sessional orders should be suspended.

Ms JULIE BISHOP: That is right, Mr Speaker. Standing
and sessional orders must be suspended so that the Prime Minister can
answer the charge from Laurie Oakes that she is silly and slippery and
slimy and shifty. She must be given the opportunity to come into this
place and explain this same behaviour that emerged over the Australia
Day riot. When the truth would have done just fine, this Prime Minister
gave a version of events that has proven not to be true. Even on the
most straightforward issues the Prime Minister seems incapable of
calling it as it is. After unleashing her dogs of war with a most
personal and vitriolic attack on the member for Griffith, she now wants
to believe that she was not publicly humiliating him—she was in fact
honouring him. Standing orders must be suspended so she can explain this
behaviour. The Prime Minister could not even get it right when she was
talking about his achievements, saying that the member for Griffith
created the G20 and created the East Asia Summit. Not even the member
for Griffith would claim such grandiosity. That is why the Prime
Minister must explain herself.

Standing orders must be suspended so that the Prime Minister can give
her version of the events of the Carr wreck. We will recall that the
Prime Minister said she was not involved in the toppling of the member
for Griffith; that she was not in any plot to overthrow the Prime
Minister. We now know she was hawking around polling; she was having
speeches written in her own office. Her version of events is simply
implausible. Last week the Prime Minister’s version of why the member
for Griffith had to be removed was revealed as not sustainable. She said
she believed that it was a good government that had lost its way, but
we now know that she did not believe it was a good government. She in
fact thought it was chaotic and disorganised and paralysed and not
focused on the national interest. In fact her deputy said—and this is
what she should be called in to explain and this is why standing orders
must be suspended—that this was a government that had contempt for the
cabinet, contempt for the caucus, contempt for the parliament and
contempt for the public. So, far from the Prime Minister’s version that
it was a good government that lost its way, she now admits that it was a
bad government getting worse. That is why standing orders must be
suspended.

The Prime Minister wanted us to believe that she did not tell the
truth about the events of 23 and 24 June because she did not want to
hurt the feelings of the member for Griffith. Spare us, Mr Speaker! Do
we have to have any more of this? Having unleashed the most personal
abuse on the former Prime Minister of this country, she now wants us to
believe that she did not want to hurt his feelings. The fact is that the
Prime Minister’s instinct is to manufacture and to fabricate to suit
her political purpose. No wonder a third of her caucus decided that she
was not worthy of their vote.

Standing orders must be suspended so the Prime Minister can explain
the circumstances surrounding the role of the Minister for Defence in
vetoing the Prime Minister’s choice of Bob Carr for foreign minister.
The Prime Minister says that allegation is completely untrue, but we
will soon know. If the Prime Minister appoints the defence minister to
be the foreign minister, that is evidence of his veto. Surely the Prime
Minister would not otherwise want to appoint the fourth Labor defence
minister in four years. We have learned that the minister for regional
Australia has also vetoed the Prime Minister’s choice of Bob Carr, so
both ministers want the job. The Prime Minister is faced with a choice
between the member for Perth and the member for Hotham—a choice between a
rooster and a feather duster, so wipe the floor with that one. Standing
orders must be suspended so the Prime Minister can explain how she can
claim a new assertiveness one day when the next day she is completely
and comprehensively undermined by the factions.

Standing orders must be suspended so the Prime Minister can explain
matters that go to her very character, to her personal integrity and to
her fitness to hold office. We are seeking the opportunity for the Prime
Minister to explain why she seeks to construct versions of events when
the truth will do. Members will recall the Prime Minister telling us
that she was a prize winner in Bible studies. Perhaps she might remember
Matthew 12:37: by your words you will be justified; by your words you
will be condemned.

yes, despite 'that paper' POINTING OUT that
THE DUTCH DO JUSTIFY and
LEGALLY Commit INFANTICIDE,
he still has to cross out 'that' word

AFTER BIRTH 'abortion'.

But sadly, it is NOT only The Dutch.

“The paper highlights an important question; why is it permissible to kill some humans but not others?”

I dare to suggest this is the “thin end of the wedge” on the subject
of ‘how can we rationalise starting to top a lot of people ?’

Because of the ongoing Population Bomb meme – the easiest line of attack is the too many babies approach.

Except in so many societies, fertility rates are collapsing below replacement.

Look at this
article by David Spengler quoting UN data on the collapse of Iran’s
fertility rate. Revolution, war, oppression and economic collapse don’t
seem conducive to family formation ?

So with the inbound pipeline of population slowing, why the growing numbers ?

Because so many more of us are living longer. Age and /or ill-health can be mitigated for quite a time.

Look at Japan and it’s collapsing fertility but long-tail of aging people.

Now if your unstated end-game is culling the absolute numbers of
people, eventually you are going to have to lay your cards on the table
and say that cessation of support for the infirm and old has to be
stopped – for the greater good.

Next steps – premmie babies. Gone. Humidicribs an imposition against
the Greater Good. ( think of the energy inputs and carbon emissions ).

Severely injured – gone. Ever seen how much energy and consumables
are used in an intensive care or emergency room ? Unsustainable.

Frail and elderly – gone. Why waste the resources on the
non-productive, and using the above logic re the new borns, the slightly
or very dotty aged will be deemed not self aware anyway.

Slope – meet slippery lubricant devices.

There – and didn’t mention the Nazis once ( dohhh !)

<blockquote>"There – and didn’t mention the Nazis once ( dohhh !)"

Why would you be wary of mentioning the Nazis?

The pro-infanticide, pro nonperson-killing lobby is Nazi.

C.L. 2 Mar 12 at 12:37 pm

Waaaaah! Da ‘death threats’ are wheeled out:

From Bolt:

What really shocks Savulescu is not a defence of the killing of healthy babies, but that people should be angry about it:

<blockquote>What is disturbing is not the arguments in this paper nor
its publication in an ethics journal. It is the hostile, abusive,
threatening responses that it has elicited. More than ever, proper
academic discussion and freedom are under threat from fanatics opposed
to the very values of a liberal society.

</blockquote>

What monstrous self-absorption that Savulescu is more offended by
a threat to the self-esteem of an ethicist than a threat to the life of
a child.

C.L. 2 Mar 12 at 10:56 am

<blockquote>"Freedom of speech alone would support the ability of the authors to publish such a paper…"
</blockquote>
Not so fast.

It is, in many circumstances, unlawful to incite people to kill. If
somebody were to write books or papers calling for Aboriginal babies to
be killed for the sake of their struggling parents, the children
themselves and an overburdened society,
they would certainly be charged
with one of several possible crimes.

A few weeks after a man threw his baby off the Story Bridge in
Brisbane, press attention is given to two ‘ethicists’ arguing that was
OK and that anyone else should morally feel free to do the same.
This
could be construed as hate speech and incitement to murder.

Personally, I prefer that they go on talking because (as I point out
above) the pro-infanticide cause is itself being thrown off the bridge
by society. But speaking strictly legally, if Andrew Bolt can go on
trial and be likened to a Nazi in court, these academics (literal Nazis)
could very conceivably and licitly be charged with criminal offences.

A QUEENSLAND union has admitted its staff were sent to accost Campbell Newman on the hustings in Brisbane.

Several protesters staged a fake auction outside the Toowong State School
as Mr Newman arrived to announce a $54 million prep school policy,
alleging he would sell Education Queensland assets.

They denied to reporters any political links but one later revealed on her Twitter page
she was getting paid to protest.

she had posted photographs of
a phone survey being conducted by the union
in the Ashgrove electorate,
which included private details of residents.

The LNP said the tweets were proof unions were "misusing members' money
and paying staff to stage protests.

"Labor have been caught red-handed," an LNP spokesman said.

United Voice state secretary Gary Bullock confirmed
the union was behind the protest.

He said the union also had a commercial arrangement with the ALP to
conduct the phone survey but said employees had been instructed to
maintain the privacy of residents called.

Ministers agree to
get tough on dual nationality,
also for the Dutch

Friday 02 March 2012

Ministers on Friday decided to press ahead with legislation aimed at
reducing the number of people with dual nationality,
despite widespread opposition.

The legislation will require everyone who becomes Dutch to give up
their original nationality if legally possible. Dutch nationals who take
a second nationality will also automatically lose their Dutch passports.

New Dutch nationals will also have a family income of at least the minimum wage
and show that they have at least two years work experience
or have some sort of professional qualification.

Queen Beatrix' second son has severe brain damage after spending at

Nijmegen wants Christian Democrat Bruls as mayor
Friday 02 March 2012

Nijmegen city council wants CDA member Hubert Bruls as its new mayor
and has rejected the selection committee's favourite, Labour MP Sharon Dijksma.

Bruls was an MP between 2002 and 2005 and then became mayor of Venlo.

Last week, it emerged the selection committee wanted Dijksma for the job -
a move which generated widespread protests from councillors and locals.

A poll by newspaper De Gelderlander showed
80% did not want Dijksma to get the job.

For the vile person 5036 will speak 1696 villany 5039, and his heart 3820 will work 6213 iniquity 205, to practise 6213 hypocrisy 2612, and to utter 1696 error 8442 against the LORD 3068, to make empty 7324 the soul 5315 of the hungry 7457, and he will cause the drink 4945 of the thirsty 6771 to fail 2637 .

The instruments 3627 also of the churl 3596 [are] evil 7451: he deviseth 3289 wicked devices 2154 to destroy 2254 the poor 6041 6035 with lying 8267 words 561, even when the needy 34 speaketh 1696 right 4941.

But the liberal 5081 deviseth 3289 liberal things 5081; and by liberal things 5081 shall he stand 6965 .

Rise up 6965 , ye women 802 that are at ease 7600; hear 8085 my voice 6963, ye careless 982 daughters 1323; give ear 238 unto my speech 565.

Many days 3117 and years 8141 shall ye be troubled 7264 , ye careless women 982 : for the vintage 1210 shall fail 3615 , the gathering 625 shall not come 935 .

Tremble 2729 , ye women that are at ease 7600; be troubled 7264 , ye careless ones 982 : strip 6584 you, and make you bare 6209 , and gird 2290 [sackcloth] upon [your] loins 2504.

They shall lament 5594 for the teats 7699, for the pleasant 2531 fields 7704, for the fruitful 6509 vine 1612.

Upon the land 127 of my people 5971 shall come up 5927 thorns 6975 [and] briers 8068; yea, upon all the houses 1004 of joy 4885 [in] the joyous 5947 city 7151:

Because the palaces
759 shall be forsaken 5203 ; the multitude 1995 of the city 5892 shall be left 5800 ; the forts 6076 and towers 975 shall be for dens 4631 for 5704 ever 5769, a joy 4885 of wild asses 6501, a pasture 4829 of flocks 5739;

Until the spirit 7307 be poured 6168 upon us from on high 4791, and the wilderness 4057 be a fruitful field 3759, and the fruitful field 3759 be counted 2803 for a forest 3293.

Then judgment 4941 shall dwell 7931 in the wilderness 4057, and righteousness 6666 remain 3427 in the fruitful field 3759.

And the work 4639 of righteousness 6666 shall be peace 7965; and the effect 5656 of righteousness 6666 quietness 8252 and assurance 983 for 5704 ever 5769.

And my people 5971 shall dwell 3427 in a peaceable 7965 habitation 5116, and in sure 4009 dwellings 4908, and in quiet 7600 resting places 4496;

When it shall hail 1258 , coming down 3381 on the forest 3293; and the city 5892 shall be low 8213 in a low place 8218.

Blessed 835 [are] ye that sow 2232 beside all waters 4325, that send forth 7971 [thither] the feet 7272 of the ox 7794 and the ass 2543.

Bless God. Bless The King. Bless His House.
