Government still has no Malaysian deal

The federal government is refusing to say when an asylum-seeker swap deal with Malaysia will be signed.
The deal, under which Australia would accept 4000
processed refugees in return for Malaysia taking up to 800 asylum
seekers arriving by boat, was announced in May.
Both Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Immigration
Minister Chris Bowen on Thursday refused to say when Canberra and Kuala
Lumpur would sign up to the deal.

"I'm not here to announce timeframes," Ms Gillard told
ABC Radio, adding the government was working to make "an appropriate
agreement" with Malaysia.
"Malaysia is working with us on very good faith."
Mr Bowen declined to say whether a signed deal was "weeks" or "days" away.
"It's very well advanced in terms of the discussions with Malaysia," he told Fairfax Radio in Sydney.
"It's not signed yet. We've got an agreement between the two
prime ministers, but full details haven't been signed off on."
Mr Bowen said the arrangement could be extended if successful.
"Malaysia has said let's see how it works and see whether it should be extended," Mr Bowen told Fairfax Radio.
"We need to wait and see the impact of this."
But he did confirm the asylum seekers transferred to
Malaysia would be treated as a special case by local authorities there.
Asylum seekers sent to Malaysia reportedly will be issued
with identity tags and released into the community after spending six
weeks in a newly-built local holding centre.
That will spare them from treatment, such as caning, that
illegal immigrants are subject to under Malaysian law, News Ltd said on
Thursday.
Mr Bowen said appropriate protections would be in place under the deal.
"People transferred from Australia to Malaysia will not be regarded as illegal migrants," he told Sky News.
Mr Bowen is "very satisfied" with the progress and state of discussions with Malaysia.
The minister said he had discussed the deal with Labor
MPs Anna Burke and Melissa Parke, who have both expressed misgivings
about some of the possible arrangements.
Opposition immigration spokesman Scott Morrison says
debate around caning should have "been a flag" to the government not to
proceed with the deal.
"No-one has to wear identity tags in Nauru so they don't
get caned," he told Sky News, warning the Malaysia deal also had a "very
perishable use-by date".
"The government has an anything-but-Nauru strategy which has forced them through this contortion in Malaysia."
Labor parliamentary secretary David Bradbury described Mr
Morrison as "a purveyor of half truths, misinformation and inflammatory
innuendo".
He defended the Malaysia deal, saying assurances to
protect asylum seekers from abuse should be enough to placate the
concerns of some of his outspoken Labor colleagues.
"The (government's) proposal ... does achieve a very
important and sophisticated response to a very complex problem," Mr
Bradbury told Sky News.
Liberal frontbencher Bruce Billson says the government is creating two categories of asylum seekers in Malaysia.
He questioned what follow-up care, food, access to health
and education would be provided to those people released into the
Malaysian community under the deal.
"All the things ... that you could be confident about in
Nauru with Australia very much protecting the welfare of the people who
were there," he said.

If you look on that picture you see the name INGEAR, Ingear would also link to a forum I used called Safespeed and as you see they use SS as there logo, the founder of Safespeed was a guy named Paul Smith who as you see died. Ingear was posting as a policeman who for some reason suddenly through a wobble and stopped posting.

Also Pauls girlfriend's name is Clare Armstong who now uses the name SafespeedV2. V2 reminds me of the V2 Rocket



Also when you look at the goodwood picture it has the Black and White masonic squares.

The federal government is refusing to say when an asylum-seeker swap deal with Malaysia will be signed.
The deal, under which Australia would accept 4000
processed refugees in return for Malaysia taking up to 800 asylum
seekers arriving by boat, was announced in May.
Both Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Immigration
Minister Chris Bowen on Thursday refused to say when Canberra and Kuala
Lumpur would sign up to the deal.

"I'm not here to announce timeframes," Ms Gillard told
ABC Radio, adding the government was working to make "an appropriate
agreement" with Malaysia.
"Malaysia is working with us on very good faith."
Mr Bowen declined to say whether a signed deal was "weeks" or "days" away.
"It's very well advanced in terms of the discussions with Malaysia," he told Fairfax Radio in Sydney.
"It's not signed yet. We've got an agreement between the two
prime ministers, but full details haven't been signed off on."
Mr Bowen said the arrangement could be extended if successful.
"Malaysia has said let's see how it works and see whether it should be extended," Mr Bowen told Fairfax Radio.
"We need to wait and see the impact of this."
But he did confirm the asylum seekers transferred to
Malaysia would be treated as a special case by local authorities there.
Asylum seekers sent to Malaysia reportedly will be issued
with identity tags and released into the community after spending six
weeks in a newly-built local holding centre.
That will spare them from treatment, such as caning, that
illegal immigrants are subject to under Malaysian law, News Ltd said on
Thursday.
Mr Bowen said appropriate protections would be in place under the deal.
"People transferred from Australia to Malaysia will not be regarded as illegal migrants," he told Sky News.
Mr Bowen is "very satisfied" with the progress and state of discussions with Malaysia.
The minister said he had discussed the deal with Labor
MPs Anna Burke and Melissa Parke, who have both expressed misgivings
about some of the possible arrangements.
Opposition immigration spokesman Scott Morrison says
debate around caning should have "been a flag" to the government not to
proceed with the deal.
"No-one has to wear identity tags in Nauru so they don't
get caned," he told Sky News, warning the Malaysia deal also had a "very
perishable use-by date".
"The government has an anything-but-Nauru strategy which has forced them through this contortion in Malaysia."
Labor parliamentary secretary David Bradbury described Mr
Morrison as "a purveyor of half truths, misinformation and inflammatory
innuendo".
He defended the Malaysia deal, saying assurances to
protect asylum seekers from abuse should be enough to placate the
concerns of some of his outspoken Labor colleagues.
"The (government's) proposal ... does achieve a very
important and sophisticated response to a very complex problem," Mr
Bradbury told Sky News.
Liberal frontbencher Bruce Billson says the government is creating two categories of asylum seekers in Malaysia.
He questioned what follow-up care, food, access to health
and education would be provided to those people released into the
Malaysian community under the deal.
"All the things ... that you could be confident about in
Nauru with Australia very much protecting the welfare of the people who
were there," he said.

The Dambusters dog N****r will be renamed Digger
for a modern remake of the iconic film to avoid offending
American viewers, it has emerged.

Script writer Stephen Fry, 53, has confirmed that
pilot Guy Gibson's faithful black Labrador
will be renamed for the forthcoming Peter Jackson movie.

In the original 1955 film
Gibson's dog's name was spoken 12 times
as a code word to report successful dam breaches
to RAF Bomber Command.

unfortunate.

'You can go to RAF Scampton
and see the dog's grave and there he is with his name,

The iconic 1955 film tells the story of British Second World War scientists
who developed a bouncing bomb as a means of attacking Germany's dams.
During the film a special squadron of Lancaster bombers, 617 Squadron,
is formed and trained by Wing Commander Guy Gibson.

His black Labrador dog Nigger is present throughout the film
and his name repeatedly used as a code word to report
successful breaches of dams.
But when Peter Jackson began planning a remake of the historic film,
which has been scripted by Fry, the team agreed to rename him Digger.

Nigger died in a car accident
on the morning of the
Dambusters raid on 16 May 1943
and is buried at the squadron's home
of RAF Scampton, Lincs.
The move has attracted criticism from historians and aviation enthusiasts
who have revealed they are 'unhappy' with the alteration.
Mervyn Hallam, curator of RAF Scampton museum,
today slammed the change and accused Fry of trying to 'rewrite history'.

He said: 'It's not a problem with coloured people
it's the people in power creating the problem.

In the context of the time and the film it's not a racist name.'

Jim Shortland, a historian who specialises in the Dambusters, added:
'I'm unhappy with the change because it's sacrificing historical accuracy
for political correctness, in particular for the American market.
'If someone was offended by Guy Gibson's name you wouldn't go around
calling him Richard Todd.
'One wonders what else the film might get wrong.
Once you know something is incorrect, you're going to be suspicious.'
But Phil Bonner, spokesman for Aviation Heritage Lincolnshire,
admitted the name of the dog is 'very emotive'.
He said: 'The name of the dog is very emotive for many people
and in some respects it's a reflection of the changes that have happened
across the generations.
'The whole core of the film is about the bravery of the people who flew
from Lincolnshire on a very daring raid and it's important that this aspect
of the film is not watered down.'

A MELBOURNE-based company is selling baby and children's clothes
featuring pictures of evil monsters such as Hitler, Osama bin Laden,
Ivan Milat, Ted Bundy and Charles Manson.

The range of garments, in sizes from 000 rompers for
three-month-old babies, to T-shirts for children up to 12, has sparked
outrage. The Ivan Milat baby romper also has the slogan
"Australians Just Love Backpackers". Other T-shirts include the words
"Free Ted Bundy" and "Ted Bundy is Innocent", and
"Serial Killer in Training" alongside graphic images.

artists.

The site, which has 3.5 million hits a month, has
150,000 contributing artists and is run from Flinders St, in Melbourne,
and San Francisco.

The artists post their work on the site, which is not moderated. It offers automatic formats, including kids' and baby clothes.

The founder said his staff had removed many images in the past few weeks.

"It is par for the course that some offensive material may be put up, but
it is removed immediately when drawn to our attention," he said.

Mr Geary said he was disgusted by the clothing.

"I think it's just pretty sad that people will stoop so low to try to make a quid."

He would look into what could be done to impose some sort of control over "retailing at this disgraceful level".

Julie Gale, founder of Kids Free 2B Kids, said the clothes were walking billboards for sick adult humour.

"These images do not belong on children," she said.
