WATER police are searching
for eight people,
including children,
missing on two boats
near Lakes Entrance.
Gippsland water police said the boats went missing
between Metung and Raymond Island tonight.
Police and coast guard volunteers are searching the area.
But a police spokesman said there were no immediate concerns.
“The weather is fine,” he said. “There is a possibility the boats have broken down.”
Police said those missing included adults and “a number of children.”
