COMBUSTING tea towels are believed to have ignited a blaze at a busy Geelong West cafe, sparking a warning from firefighters.

An estimated $100,000 worth of damage was caused to 63 Degrees in
Pakington St when fire broke out in the kitchen about 11.30pm on Monday.
It took about a dozen firefighters 30 minutes to control the blaze.

CFA investigators probed the scene yesterday and believed a set of tea
towels that had been recently washed and dried at a nearby laundromat
had spontaneously ignited.

A similar scenario was thought to have been behind a blaze
at a home at Bannockburn's Clyde Park Vineyard in July.

CFA operations officer Brett Boatman said there had been
three similar fires within 24 hours at Mt Hotham earlier this month.

"CFA's scientific officer has advised that these types of fires
are not uncommon, however, three in a 24-hour period is without
precedent," he said.

"The common thread with each of these fires was the process used
in washing and drying.

"Essentially what occurs is when heated,
the combination of fats, oils,
cleaning products and washing powder
causes a chemical chain reaction
that results in spontaneous combustion."

At one of the Mt Hotham businesses, the items began to burn inside the dryer, while in the other two cases, they caught fire some time after being removed from the dryer.

63 Degrees owner Simon Bryant said the fire had still been smouldering when he arrived on the scene after being alerted to the blaze.

"We haven't got business-interruption insurance so we have
just got to get back up and running as soon as possible," the father of
two said.
Mr Bryant said the cafe had been about to refurbish the interior but leave the kitchen intact.
The business is now expected to require a full new fit-out.
The eatery, which has traded in Pakington St since 2007,
also has outlets in Highton and Ryrie St.

I was ignoring this forum,until I seen the Krokodile Thread and Zombie apocalypse...and stumbled on a post,where True Lilly constantly spams,Ciggy and I networking for child sex.I laughed at the pathetic moron at first and asked her nicely to stop.Where,delighted she finally got some attention,cause that is the only way she gets it,as I'm about to prove,with Tintins TNBTN thread.

That's her pathetic ploys which has snowballed into a very dangerous situation for her now.I am now,officially out to get her.For her own good,she must die,so she does'nt cause any more spiritual damage to herself.I'm doing her a favour.
