The Great Blue Light...
Odd thing just happened.
Just after dixie posted this:

my son went for walk.
Then dixie made additions to that post.
Then my son phoned me, while still out walking, to ask if we'd also lost power.
From somewhere near the area of Ballarat Gold Mines, he saw a massive,
SOUNDLESS 'explosion' of BLUE LIGHT, like LIGHTNING, but FROM THE GROUND UP,
bouncing off the clouds, LIGHTING EVERYTHING BLUE.
Then, all the lights went out, and all was dark.
BUT, as it turned out, NOT all the lights.
Some very few street lights remained on, and some very few houses, like mine,
had no electrical interference at all, even though the street light, with the transformer box
on the pole on the corner of my house, did go out, and I usually suffer any and all
interference from that pole.
When he got home, he told me he also noticed that some houses were NOT effected
(it's a regular walk he does and he's familiar with which normally do and don't have
their lights on), but not in the usual, blocks of houses cut off on a common feed, but
a house here, a house there, among the blacked out houses all around them.
I'll be very interested to see if any sort of explanation is offered in morning's news.
Oh, and also, a few hours earlier, I went outside and was 'struck' by how bright
the light, coming through my densely leaved Melaleuca, was. Brighter than
the street lights, including the one on the corner of my yard, not hidden behind
that thick tree. So I went to the gate, past the tree only to see it was the moon.
But, it's only a Half Moon, and it was brighter than any big old full moon night,
that I ever recall seeing, as well as having that very bright, white light, beaming,
like a searchlight.

ha ha, sorry, but it was nothing like that old farce that sucked up the world's attention.barnacle bill wrote:sorry, that was me being immanent and transcendent at once.......spurious signals....
But as I write, there are now sounds, like thunder rumbles,
but also, seeming, to come from the ground.
'Like' thunder rumbles, but not quite. The length of time between and of the sounds
is 'oddly' spaced, as well as the sounds themselves having a weird sort of broken range
of tones, also like wind, yet there is no wind.
It really does sound like something going on underground.
And just now, we are getting gusty flurries of wind...it really has been a weird few,
wee hours of the morning.
Interesting to, that the gold deposit still to be mined is so large (more than was mined
during the rush), that they call it, "The BLUE Whale".
